Rules for Water Skiing Boats

Water skiing is one of the most popular water sports in  the world. It’s a great way to get a taste of adventure and adrenaline action all at once. But all this is possible if you take the proper precautions to ensure that no untoward incidents occur while you’re in the boat, skiing full speed. Keep in mind also to use a proper pair of water skis and safety gears.

The Towing Vessel

First and foremost you need to ensure that the towing vessel which will be used for the activity is duly registered and has the necessary permissions. Make sure that the registration is a valid one.

As  far as number of crew on the boat is concerned, two people – the driver and instructor – must accompany you the boat. The boat must have the designated safety label as well as be equipped with the necessary safety goods. And lastly, ensure that you maintain safe distance from the boat, as you’re towed in the water. The rule stipulates that the skier must be at least 7 meters behind the boat.

Aside from sports activities like wakeboarding, water skiing and others, Australia is also known globally for  casino parties and clubbing.

Safety Gear

In water skiing, special attention needs to be given that the towed person is wearing all the safety equipment before he gets towed behind the boat. The towed person is required to wear a life jacket. The driver and observer must duly instruct the towed person to refrain from taking unnecessary risks while being in the water. The towed person must be weary and aware of other objects floating in the water, as they may disrupt the activity.
